March Beauty Gems

Hey fellow beauty addicts!

Last month I stumbled across some wonderful beauty finds! If you’ve never heard of Birch Box and Love Me Beauty then your in for a treat! The concept behind these beauty websites is that you get to choose how much you’d like to spend each month. There are 3 options to choose from with different products so you can choose your favourite. Birch Box offer a pay monthly option for £10, a 6 monthly and yearly option. I opted for the monthly one so I paid £10 which included postage and packing and 4 wonderful luxe items!

My my monthly Birch Box package included Benefit’s new Stay Don’t Stray Concealer, korres Citrus Little Body Milk, Dr Brandt’s Pores No More, Christopher Wicks fragrance English Laundry and Molton Browns Rhubarb and Rose Replenishing Hand Cream. In March’s box of beauty goodies came a Lulu Guinness stick of rock and a voucher of £20 off Lulu Guinness online when you spend £100 in March 2014 and a Benefit voucher for their new Gimme Brow product.

If you fill in a survey about your products you also receive reward points. Once you’ve tried the products you can buy the full size versions online in their e-shop. I love the idea of once a month coming home to a package filled with beauty goodies!

Love Me Beauty is another website which follows the same concept. I chose the monthly option and paid £10 plus £2.95 p&p. There are other options where you can pay for a 3,6 and 12 month subscription too. There are 3 menus to choose from where you can pick your 4/5 products. There are also rewards! You can get 1month added free for 3 friends that subscribe, 1 free sample for 5 surveys completed and 1 free product for every 3 months you are subscribed! Where it differs from Birch Box is that if you want to buy the products instead of buying from their e-shop you click on the brand and it directs you to the brands website where you can then shop.  My March beauty box consisted of Murad’s Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask, Blanx White Shock Toothpaste, Nip and Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix, Deep Steep Foot Stick in Candy Mint, Quintessentially English bath salts in Vintage Bouquet and a gorgeous pair of false lashes in Gracie by the Vintage Cosmetic Company.

I’d say my favourites that I’ve tried are the Murad Exfoliating Mask, the Deep Steep Foot Stick and Benefits Stay Don’t Stray Concealer. The concealer is so lightweight and can be used to wear underneath concealer and eyeshadow. I’ve noticed that both products don’t budge!

The foot stick makes my feet feel all tingly and feels lovely, must be the peppermint and essential oils! We don’t pay enough attention to our feet especially when they have to carry us everyday so this little stick of peppermint goodness feels lovely!

The Murad Mask is antioxidant rich and smooth in texture when you put it on and after 10 minutes once it’s washed off my skin felt so smooth!
